If you want to utilize the laundry facilities, make sure you have plenty of $1 coins available as there is no ATM or cash out facilities available.

Very dear, but a good experience of wilderness treks, cabins. Nice restaurant. Terrible road to get in.

After entering the room, I was greeted by blow flies and bull ants occupying the room.

This has to be the worst example of misplaced capitalism i have ever witnessed.

Not only that but one of the employees “Steve” jibed me with “i bet you had trouble with a last name like yours”

The property itself is ideally situated in amazing surrounds and has huge potential to be an amazing destination, just a real shame it is poorly managed and run by rude staff.

I travelled 4hrs to Lemon Thyme Wilderness Retreat to find out there was no spa in our room. Apparently these are only the honey moon sweets which no-one mentioned. Completely misleading. I read the description as luxury tree top villas accomodation & spa, only to find myself overlooking the main car park area.

After travelling to over two dozen countries around the world i would like to think i know, roughly, what to expect from hotels / AirBnB’s but Lemonthyne managed to bitterly surprise me.

The couch cushions were infested with chips and nuts from the previous occupants.

Arriving at reception i was greeted with hostility and incompetence at every level from the sign that states “Due to a change in company policy we are now taking payment on arrival for accommodation” to the complete lack of vegetation and vegan options to the rough as guts decor i was uneasy to the point of cancelation.

Come dinner time in the Restaurant, I requested room service which I was told is an additional $15 to walk 14 metres to our room so I decided to eat in the restaurant.

The lady at the front desk insisted I pay the full amount of $325 (1 night) upfront.

The food was nice, however we were offered the dinner rolls after we had finished our mains and shared it with the flies stuck to the window.

I won’t go on to count the multiple ways that this plays makes one feel completely uneasy but a combination of staff, food options (or lack off) and ridiculous prices result in the honest realisation that i would not stay at Cradle Mountains “Faulty Towers” if they paid me.

Restaurant service was a little slow though our room had no faults and we were comfortable
